A note from Cornerstone's founder
About the founder.
Cornerstone Pathways Living started with a conviction that rebuilding should not have to happen alone. Everyone deserves a safe place to gather themselves, be treated with respect, and take the next step with purpose.
I wanted to create a home that felt human: welcoming without being vague, structured without being harsh, and encouraging without asking anyone to pretend the hard parts are not there.
My 24 years of bedside nursing experience shaped my belief in compassionate, respectful, person-centered support. It continues to inform Cornerstone's mission, while keeping our role clear: Cornerstone provides non-clinical transitional housing, not medical care or clinical treatment.
Why Cornerstone exists
People are more than the season they are in.
My heart for this work comes from seeing how much can change when people have consistency, honest encouragement, and room to make meaningful choices. A home cannot solve everything, but it can offer the foundation from which a person begins to rebuild.
That is the kind of environment I hope every resident experiences here: one where dignity is protected, progress is noticed, and support is practical enough to carry into everyday life.
The vision
A community where progress has somewhere to take root.
A home with heart
Warmth and belonging matter. Residents should feel welcomed as whole people, not reduced to a history or a hurdle.
Support with purpose
The goal is not dependence on a program. It is the confidence and practical foundation to move toward greater independence.
